Young Writers' Academy is a creative writing enrichment program which provides classes and camps for students in 2nd - 8th Grade. Our program encourages students to bring their imagination and voice to their writing, within a safe, fun and engaging environment.
A typical program consists of a weekly workshop that meets after school or over a one-week camp to cover a theme-based topic, such as: Fiction, Poetry & Art, Playwriting, Journalism, Non-Fiction, or Comic Book Writing for example. All of our workshops are project-based and end with an opportunity for the student to publish his or her work.
Our original, copyrighted curriculum is designed to enhance the skill of and love for writing in students. The curriculum has been reviewed and approved by a National Board Certified Educator, Literacy Specialist, and published Author and is kid-tested! The curriculum is taught by professionals who share a passion for writing and in captivating the hearts and minds of students.
